How it works:

ForVidaTM System Overview

The service will be provided only for physicians practices specializing in cardiac conditions.

In the future, other conditions or uses and the direct‐to‐consumer model will be applied.

  • For the initial implementation, a physician will prescribe the ForVidaTM service for a patient.
  • The physician will write the prescription and then have the patient contact our medical provisioning partner.
  • They will setup and provide the device, and then do the medical billing to the healthcare payer.
  • Using a Smartphone, with the HRSI custom software, the technology can work over any carrier’s broadband wireless network.
  • The ForVidaTM software utilizes scalable technology to allow thousands or even hundreds of thousands of simultaneous users.
  • It can capture data from a patient continuously and upload it to the server.
  • The data stream can be monitored 24/7, either automated or with a live attendant if required.
  • The highly configurable platform accommodates many types of rules, custom data fields, and third party data analysis toolsets.
  • The HRSI software suite functions as a standalone system or it may also be configured to share data with other health information portals such as Google Health or the electronic medical records of a physician practice.

Technology Benifits

  • Performance and Power. The For Vida ™software was designed to provide a powerful platform for capturing and analyzing medical information for thousands of patients.
  • Everywhere Availability. The broadband wireless technology is at the heart of HRSI’s For Vida offering for the USA. The HRSI software can work with any handset on any carrier’s network for use in other counties or on a GSM network.
  • Distributed Cloud” Computing and Data Distribution Sharing. For Vida software utilizes high availability, scalable technology to allow thousands or even hundreds of thousands of simultaneous users. Patient data is distributed among many servers at multiple data centers to prevent downtime and increase security.
  • Configurability and Extensibility. The For Vida software is built to allow a highly configurable environment. The system allows for many types of rules and custom data fields, as well as plug‐ins for data analysis. Third‐party plug‐ins allow for customers or partners to develop novel analysis technology that can be utilized in the For Vida ™platform.
  • Integration with Other Vendor’s Systems. While it is HRSI’s intention to have a fully functional and complete platform, we realize that some customers may prefer to store their information in other healthcare portals like Google Health, etc. In this case, For Vida can act a bridge to export that data via a web service or a file to be consumed by the other site. In some cases, physicians may prefer to allow export/upload to their health informatics system in the hospital or their practice.
  • Open System; Platform Independence at Three Levels. The flexible, modular, open standards design and the relative platform independence of the For Vida ™platform allow it to easily grow with and adapt to the constantly changing needs of the healthcare market and third party software vendors.
  • Computer system independence. The For Vida ™Java software will run on LINUX/UNIX and Windows platforms. The portal strategy is designed to work with all popular browsers.
  • Middleware independence. Since the middleware software is written in Java for the Geronimo application server, it allows disparate computer applications running on different computer systems to work together to provide scalability and fail‐safe.
  • Security and patient data protection are designed into the HRSI software from the ground up. HL7 and HIPPA protection are accommodated in the design of the software. The patient data is encrypted and stored in encrypted formats which are transmitted using secure socket layer (SSL) technology.

Key benefits For Vida

  • Patients will receive better monitoring with continuous data recording (Most current systems require that the patient push a “record” button when an event is happening, then only record a few minutes of data. Then a monitoring center must be called and the data downloaded)
  • Physicians will receive better monitoring data to make more effective solutions ‐ a real‐time data stream that can be reviewed real‐time or retrospectively.
  • Patent Pending Technology ‐ HRSI software for the handset and portal.
  • A rich set of global partners and strategic relationships to for a strong value chain ‐ including Verizon, UPS and cardiac specialty companies.
  • A unique portal strategy that allows patent data to be ported to other External Applications/Portals (I.e. Google Health), but still captured in the HRSI data vault.
  • Possibilities of ad‐based revenue by pushing opt‐in content (i.e. ads or coupons) to the handset (Included in the patent application).
  • Possibilities of selling anonymous data about disease conditions to insurance or pharmaceutical companies from the HRSI secure data vault.
  • 24/7 real‐time monitoring (either automated or with a live agent)
  • Rich experience of the founders in startup businesses and specifically in the wireless and software development arenas.
  • Deep and broad experience of the advisory board in areas like cardiac surgery and medical devices.
  • For Vida allows connections with any Bluetooth medical device – new devices can be added with inexpensive additional modules to the software.
